1. Who we are

Real Estate Scenario Calculator (“we”, “us”), operator of Real Estate Scenario Calculator, is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this notice.

2. Personal data we collect

• Account data: email address, display name, profile image and authentication identifier (provided when you sign in with Google).
• Usage data: calculations you run, saved scenarios, daily snapshots (for Pro users), language and UI preferences.
• Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, log entries and error reports.
• Support data: messages you send to us.
• Payment data: handled by Paddle (see “Sharing”). We store only a subscription identifier, plan, status and renewal dates — never card details.

3. Purposes & legal bases

• Provide the Service and your account — performance of a contract.
• Process subscriptions and entitlements — performance of a contract.
• Security, fraud prevention and abuse detection — legitimate interests.
• Service improvement and aggregate analytics — legitimate interests.
• Customer support — performance of a contract / legitimate interests.
• Legal and tax obligations — legal obligation.

4. Sharing

We share data only with the following categories of recipient:

• Paddle — our Merchant of Record for the sale of subscriptions, payment processing, subscription management, tax compliance and invoicing.
• Hosting & infrastructure providers (Supabase / Lovable Cloud, Cloudflare) that host the application and database.
• Authentication providers (Google OAuth) when you sign in.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where strictly necessary.
• Authorities where required by law.

5. International transfers

Where personal data is transferred outside the UK/EEA we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

6. Retention

We keep account and usage data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to handle disputes and meet legal obligations (typically up to 6 years for billing-related records). After that, data is deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. You may also complain to your supervisory authority. We respond to requests within one month.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures (encryption in transit, access controls, row-level security on the database) to protect your data.

9. Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your language and UI preferences. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
